⛰️Seoul Dulle - Gil⛰️
Gwanaksan Mountain, standing at 632.2 meters,
gets its name from the traditional Korean "gat" hat because its rocky peaks look like someone wearing one.
The word "ak" (악) highlights its rugged, rocky nature.
This mountain has long been a key natural landmark, offering a stunning backdrop to the southern side of Seoul.
One of the highlights of our hike will be Gwaneumsa Temple,
located at the northeastern foothills of the mountain. Known as a place of prayer,
it also features a 300-year-old zelkova tree at its entrance.
The temple has a peaceful atmosphere and a deep historical connection to the area,
making it the perfect spot to pause and take in the blend of culture and nature.
Our hike on the Seoul Trail starts at Nakseongdae Park,
winds through Gwaneumsa Temple, and finishes at Sadang Station.
The trail is beginner to intermediate, with fantastic views of the surrounding nature.
It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors, get some fresh air, and mingle with others who share a love for hiking.
This is the 11th route of the Seoul Trail, which forms a loop around the city.
Along the way, hikers can join the stamp challenge, collecting stamps from various sections of the trail.
