Gangneung Jungang Market is a traditional market where you'll find all the street food Korea is famous for.
Plus, there is an underground fishery market you shouldn't miss!
Jungang market has expanded over the past few years and is included more and more nearby vendor shops. 🍡
🚶Gangneung Wolhwa street🚶
Gangneung Wolhwa street used to be a railway site running through Downtown Gangneung.
This street is home to a lot of events, cultural performances and even night markets happening during weekends.
Wolhwa street is also known for being the place where the love story between ‘Muwolrang’ and ‘Yeonhwa’ took place during the Silla period. 💌
🏯Ojukheon House🏯
Okjuheon House shows the lifestyle and architecture during the Joseon Dynasty.
It is one of the oldest preserved Korean style houses. It was designated as a National treasure in 1963 for its historical value.
Ojukheon House is actually the house where Shin Saimdang and her son Yulgok Yi I who became a famous philosopher lived.
Their names might not sound familiar to you, but their faces should definitely as they are the world’s first mother and son who are printed on Korean currency.
Shin Saimdang is on the 50,000 won bill and her son on the 5,000 won one. 💵
🌅Gyeongpo Beach🌅
Gyeongpo Beach located in Gangneung is know for its shore of nice and fine sand that makes it a great location to enjoy the ocean,
do activities or just take a walk along the 1.8km length of the beach.
Beaches on the East coast of Korea are renowned for being the best ones around the country.
Gyeongpo Beach is formed between the ocean and Gyeongpo lake. You can also enjoy a pine trees and a wooden park next to this location.
⛵Anmok Beach⛵
Anmok Beach is a lovely white sand beach located next to the famous Anmoks Coffee Street, where every alley is paved with the rich history of coffee culture. ☕️
From the first sip to the last lingering aroma, this vibrant street is a sensory journey through the world of coffee craftsmanship.

But it is also the place where some dramas took place and the famous BTS Bus Stop is located!!🌊
This bus stop was featured in their "You never walk Alone" album, released in 2018 in which you can listen to their famous song "Spring Day". Lots of international fans come to this location, to recreate the iconic album cover.

Samyang Roundhill is the largest green pasture in Asia, home to a lot of farm animals and more like cows, sheep, ostriches.
Samyang Roundhill is a healing place for people needing to relax and escape the modern fast-path life.
There are five different trekking courses with a total of 4.5km long. Each course has its specificities but,
Samyang Roundhill is known for being a famous Korean drama filming location spot. 🎬
Along your walk, you’ll encounter the exact place featured in different dramas,
movies and shows like the Lover’s concerto tree, named after Lover’s concerto movie. 📽️
Many other dramas have been filmed there like Mister Sunshine, My dearest, Goblin, Tales of the nine tailed 1938 or Doctor Slump. 🎞️

The Famous K-pop group BTS was also in the Samyang Roundhill. They used the location as one of there shooting spots for their winter package in 2021.

You’ll get to see a breathtaking view of Pyeongchang and on clear day, you’ll also be able to see Gangneung beach.

In Samyang Roundhill, visitors can experience feeding hay directly to lambs and interact with sheep.
They are gentle and really fluffy, which will be the delights of animal lovers, kids like adults! 🐏
